Sections of Wa township and parts of the Nadowli-Kaleo district and Wa West district have been hit by power outages popularly called Dumsor in Ghana.
Electricity went out suddenly from 9:56pm till 11:51pm on Sunday 25th August 2019.
Some areas including the Dodoo Streets, Kambali-Kpaguri Stretch, Choko-Wonnuo areas, Bamahu had power back on at varied times within 11:56pm the same day, with the exception of Areas like Mangu, Duori, Kumbiehi, Charia, Siiri Yiri and Loho.
Residents within some of these areas speaking to Upperwestmedia Team questioned if power outages had returned.
It was however announced by the Volta River Authority that there will be power outage on Sunday 25th August but the Time Stated varied from what was on the grounds.
The Management of VRA/NEDCo wishes to inform it’s cherished customers that there will be power interruption to the entire Wa Municipality on Sunday, August 25, 2019 from 8am to 1pm.This is to enable GRIDCo engineers carryout maintenance works at the WA Bulk Supply Point.
