The Egyptian Agency of Partnership Development of the Arab Republic of Egypt has dispatched 30 medical doctors to Ghana to support health care delivery. The first 15 doctors who arrived in Ghana on Saturday, September 5, 2015 on the request of the Ministry of Health will start work in two weeks. The team is made up of: three Surgical Consultants, two Dentists, a Dentist Specialist, Orthopaedist, Urologist, Pulmonologist, gynaecologist, two Internal Medicine Consultants, Microbiologist and a Cardiologist. The doctors who will be complementing the efforts of their Ghanaian counterparts will be distributed across the country to provide the needed care to Ghanaians. The rest of the fifteen will also serve a period of two weeks. This support by the Arab Republic of Egypt is strengthening the already existing bilateral relation between Ghana and Egypt. Meanwhile, the Public Relation Officer of the Ministry of Health, Tony Goodman said the latest development is not connected to the recent strike by the Doctors.
