Gwollu Kuoro Awarded

The Paramount Chief and President of the Gwollu traditional council, Kuoru Kuri Buktie Limann IV in the Sissala West District of the Upper West Region was honored at the 2020 National Tourism Awards in Accra among the 18 awardees.

His ability to preserve and conserved some key iconic sites in his geographical locality earned him the award.

Speaking to the media Gwollu FM, the secretary to the royal majesty, Mr Razak indicated that the Hilla Limann Tomb, the Gwollu Slave Defence Wall, the Bone setting center, the crocodile pond and the viagra center all in one locality Gwollu and able to be preserved and conserved by the Chief and people of the community resulted in the award of the chief.

He however called on the community members and opinion leaders to help the chief and the traditional council in maintaining the various iconic sites to give more epithet to the community, the district and the region Upper West at large which will lure investors and tourists to the community.
