The District Chief Executive for Nandom, Mr. Thaddeus Arkum Aasoglennag, has implored on the Final Year students of Nandom Senior High and KO Senior High Schools to give in, all their best efforts as they prepare to start the final examinations. Mr. Aasoglenang said “Hard work pays and anyone who makes conscious efforts to work hard, gets rewarded with good results in the end”.
Mr. Aasoglenang made the call when he visited both schools to engage with the students especially the final year’s and teachers as they prepare to write their final examination.
Mr. Aasoglenang said the main responsibility of all final year students now is to concentrate on their studies, with success in their minds. He reminded the candidates that there is enough time to engage in other things after school. Mr. Aasoglenang explained that the Senior Secondary Education is very crucial in the educational ladder, this is the reason HE. Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffu Addo led government introduced the Free SHS policy its promised Ghanaians, immediately it took over power in 2017. He said government in addition, is introducing deliberate policies to ensure the FREE SHS program is effective sustainable.
The District Chief Executive, who is also an old boy of Nandom Senior High School, said the District Assembly is putting in strenuous efforts to support the two Secondary Schools in the District. “We are constructing a Clinic directly opposite the school.
The clinic will serve the communities around including Nandom SHS.” He said recently, the District Assembly supplied 131 mono desks to KO SHS and also facilitated for the drilling of a borehole by Ghana National Petroleum Commission GNPC to the school.
DCE FOR NANDOM COMMISIONS NEWLY BUILT CLASSROOM BLOCK FOR MONYUPELLE DAY- CARE
A brand New Ultra-modern 2-Unit classroom Block for the Monyupele D/A Day Care Center in the Nandom District of the Upper West Region has been commissioned by the District Chief Executive for Nandom Mr. Thaddeus Arkum Aasoglenang. The project which was constructed with funding from the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETfund) includes an office, toilet facilities and Urinals.
At a short commissioning ceremony, the District Chief executive For Nandom, called on the Ghana Education Service to ensure that school buildings in the District are maintained regularly so that they can stand the test of time. He said District Assembly and to a large extent Government, is not just interested in adding to the infrastructure profile of the country, but requires quality work by contractors and other stakeholders. Mr. Aasoglenang expressed satisfaction with the delivery of the contractor.
