Five NPP Aspirants have contested to lead The party in Wa and out of the Contestants was Hajia Humu Awudu, an NGO cum politican who established the Hajia Humu Foundation was declared victorious in the Parliamentary Primaries which took place on 28th September 2019 at the Upper West Regional Library.
Hajia Humu Polled 302 votes out of the Total making her the winner whilst her close contestant Issahaku Tahiru Moomin polled 260 votes.
The Other constituencies with incumbent Members of Parliament Affiliated to the Party will contest in January. Those constuencies include Wa East, Sissala East, Sissala West, Lawra and Nandom.
