The Police through intelligence premeditations have arrested two suspects in connection with the level of insecurity in the Wa Municipality lately.
The Wa Naa, Naa Fuseini Pelpuo IV had expressed dismay with developments in town explaining that the incidents recorded have exposed our state of insecurity.
The two suspects were sent to the Upper West Regional Police Headquarters and detained afterwards.
The arrest was made mid day of 22nd September 2022.
A Jeep Wrangler Vehicle, green in color belonging to one of the Suspects has been seized and parked at the police headquarters pending Investigations.
Police have urged the masses who assembled at the police station to have a glimpse of the scene to be calm and have confidence in the police as they work to get to the bottom of the matter. Identities of the Suspects have been withheld for now.
Upper West Regional Police PRO, Chief Inspector Gideon Ohene Boateng has assured that the police will keep the public updated when the Need arises.
One other Suspect was arrested on 21st of September 2022 at Siiriyiri in the Wa West District. The yet to be identified Suspect was apprehended by concerned youth of the area in Support of plans to eliminate serial killers in the Wa Municipality.
The First Suspect, Kankani Adongo is still in police custody though his family have insisted he is mentally deranged and isn’t involved in the serial Killings.
There were speculations generated by a Social Media User by name And Starling Dangoli claiming another security Man was killed between old UDS Campus and Piisi, checks at the community proved the development is false.
