
Municipal Chief Executive for Jirapa, Hon. Nicholas Soyiri led a team of technical staff from Planning Unit, Works Department and Public Relations Unit of the Jirapa Municipal Assembly to communities for the purposes of sensitisation about the implementation of DPAT sub-projects.
The team first stop at konzokala-Dazuuri. This communities will benefit a construction of 2.9 kilometers road from konzokala to Dazuuri.
Again, the team proceeded to Goziiri-Kul-Ora where a modern CHPS compound with OPD, Delivery room, consulting rooms, toilets and urinals and Nurses quarters fully furnished will be constructed.
The Municipal planning officer and works engineer explain vividly the following areas of concerns for a successful implementation of the projects.
Implementation procedure of the project on procurement, community sensitisation, handing over of site.
Technical specifications of the project, design of the building, components of the structure.
Role of the community, land acquisition, provision of unskilled labour, security for the construction materials.
Hon. Lawyer Nicholas Soyiri, in his brief remarks at all the communities visited, indicated the readiness of his office to develop the Municipality as and when resources are available. He appealed to the beneficiary communities to appreciate the tireless efforts of NPP Government and his office for the development in the midst of globally crises that have affected the Ghanaian economy.
He noted, when the road project is completed, it will be more easier and convenient for communities around, to safely move either in night or raining season without any hindrances.
He acknowledged, the positive impact of the CHPS and Nurses quarters, as children’s, Women and the aged or patients difficulty in assessing primary health care will be history.
He called on beneficiary communities to support the contractors to successfully complete the projects within scheduled.
The Chiefs and Elders of all the beneficiary communities visited, expressed their gratitude to Hon. Lawyer Nicholas Soyiri for the live changing projects given to them. They pledged their support to the contractors as and when they take possession of site.
In the coming days, soonest, Hon. Lawyer Nicholas Soyiri is expected to returned to these communities with the contractors to handover site for commencement of work to begin.
