A Journalist within Jirapa Municipality by name Sir dicey Dakurah has expressed enthusiasm with the Swift response of Authorities in Jirapa to a road fast becoming a death trap.

Story

Two (2) weeks ago, I was on my way to Nadowli when I observed that a portion of the road between Jirapa-Baazu and Dapuori in the Nadowli/Kaleo District was in a deplorable state.

Reminiscent of the adage that when you want to speak to God, speak to the wind, I took pictures of the fast deteriorating road and shared them virally on social media. Other well meaning / concern citizens joined the crusade by sharing the pictures with the clarion call on authorities in the Region to as a matter of urgency get that portion of road fixed.

Today I am happy to report back to you that there are signs of a contractor readying himself to arrive at site start work.

Over 15 trips of chippings have been heaped near the affected portion of the road.

I cannot confirm whether our clarion call is what is yielding the positive results but I want to a big thank you to all those who joined the clarion for the road to be fixed.

To the authorities who listened or saw the problem yourself and hence your positive response, we say a big thank you very much.
