The fire completely destroyed the roof of the dining hall, food stuff, over 5000 exercise books and other stationery belonging to the school.

The cause of the fire was yet to be established, but the school’s headmaster, Adams Issah Lord said the fire started at about 2:00am on Thursday, February 22, 2023.

He mentioned that the school authorities called on personnel of the Ghana National Fire Service who responded and quenched the fire. No student was hurt in the process.

Lawyer Nicholas Soyiri, the Municipal Chief Executive for Jirapa was at the fire scene at about 4:00am to have first hand information of the incident.

He mentioned that the Municipal Assembly will in the interim mobilise some resources to cater for the immediate needs of the students.

The first Fire Outbreak of the Year within a Senior High School Occured in Wa Senior High Technical School on 22nd Janaury 2023, Another Outbreak Occurred at Eremon Senior High Technical School in February.

This is the Third Fire Outbreak in Three Weeks.
