Water

Gbare community in Jirapa Municipality has received a solar-powered water system.
The project was made possible through the funding provided by Guinness Ghana Brewery Limited (GGBL) as part of its “Water for Life” project, which is a key component of the “Society 2020 Spirit of Progress,” a social intervention program of GGBL.

The newly commissioned water system has the capacity to produce approximately 58,400 cubic meters of water annually, benefiting an estimated 5,000 people in the community.

Moreover, the system has been connected to the local health facility, ensuring access to water for healthcare services.

Time With Madam Sylvia Abyna Owusu-Ankomah, the Corporate Relation Director of GGBL, in an interview with Osuman Kaapore on Jirapa FM 96.1 MHZ stated that, access to clean water and sanitation is essential for building strong, thriving, and resilient communities. She emphasized the significant benefits this project would bring to the community, especially for women and children.
