The Hain Zonal Council Chaired by Hon. Joseph Viele on the 12th of March 2023 devoted an Amount of Gh₵2,000 and an Office Space to the Ghana National Fire Service to Begin their Operations in Hain Located Eastwards of the Jirapa Municipality.

“…In actual fact the Fire Service office is not for my Electoral area(Chapuri) its for the Entire Zone, stakeholders had a meeting to use a stracture which was for one NGO By Name RAAP, and stakeholders met, we wrote a proposals to people to support us, indeed the Support is not forthcoming but the zone on it’s wisdom gave a tune of Gh₵2000 to Support the renovation, other benevolent societies and Individuals are supporting but as you can see the building is not as expected that is whey the officers are not here..”

According to the Assembly Member for Chapuri, the Development was necessary due to the rate of fire Outbreaks in the Area, the proposal received secondment from the house composed of Elders and chiefs of the Area.

During the Meeting, The Assembly Used the Avenue to Discourage the Practice of cutting down shea Trees for Fuel adding that the Benefits of shea trees when they exist consistently are much more than when they are cut down for firewood and charcoal.
