Reports Gathered after a Renowned Lawyer was Murdered has it that the Late Lawyer Richard Badombie was planning to contest for the position of Jirapa Constituency Secretary before his demise.
The development was revealed by executives of the New Patriotic Party in the area(Jirapa) who released a press statement on 29th of May, a day after he was shot in the Savannah Region on his way to Jirapa.
Sections of a Statement from the NPP through Zaato Ali Domain, Jirapa NPP Constituency Secretary detailed the position he wanted to contest before he was killed.
“We in the NPP are troubled by the disturbing fact of the death of this outstanding legend of Jirapa, more so as it occurred at a time he had expressed interest to participate in a democratic process that would have probably have seen him emerge as Constituency Secretary of the opposition NDC in Jirapa.”
The Late Lawyer was an Assembly Member and has since supported social issues including using his resources to support provide social necessities in his community, the late had supported several students in Education and funded water projects including maintaining a borehole at a cost of Ghc1, 800 before his death.
