
The youths of Jirapa have been advised to work hard devoid of active partisan politics and politics of insult that retard progress of a country.
Speaking to the Jirapa Municipal Youth Association , Hon. Lawyer Nicholas Soyiri the Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) as the representative of the president of the republic of Ghana indicated that there are a lot of Work opportunities in the country and so the youths must take advantage of these opportunities and work hard to meet their life aspirations rather than being actively involved in partisan politics that keeps affecting the growth and development of the country.
He added that the youth have actively developed interest in politics of insult which encompasses conflicts and unnecessary disputes thereby putting development on hold stressing that with common aim of development and job creation hence the need for the youths to support Ghana government in making Jirapa Municipal one of the biggest developing area rather than fighting for parochial interest and political gains painting the name of the government.
The MCE in the meeting, briefed Stakeholders, other members on the infrastructure development in the Municipality.
He said the European Union (EU) project have begun in farming Communities within the Municipality, Road rehabilitation projects of Municipal township roads and feeder roads in the Municipality is ongoing in several areas. Again, they adopted procurement processes on expansion and building of health facilities across the Municipal.
The MCE of Jirapa also registered his displeasure on the low revenue income generation of the Municipality. He urged Members and stakeholders should help increase taxes to establish projects for development.
