The Assembly Member for Kpaa-radaa Electoral Area of the Lawra Municipality Mr James Luanteng has said all schools in his electoral area need to be renovated because they are in very deplorable states.

According to the Assembly Member of the area, some schools need additional infrastructure to facilitate teaching and learning.

Speaking to the media at Zambo Nawoyelle in the Lawra Municipality, Mr Luanteng said he has applied to the Lawra Municipal Assembly to come to their aid.

He indicated that the nature of the school buildings is a threat to children’s lives.

Mr Luanteng indicated that the Member of Parliament (MP) of the area, Mr Bede Ziedeng has come to renovate some of the health facilities in the electoral area, and work is still ongoing.

He also noted that the community members had contributed money to renovate some of the nurses’ accommodations while appealing for support.

Mr Luanteng indicated that their midwives are not staying in the community due to the destructive nature of the accommodation.
