
The Municipal Chief Executive for Lawra – Hon Bomba-Ire Martin Domotiere on Monday, 9th September, 2019 made a donation of two grinding mills and a tricycle to three communities on behalf of a Non – Governmental Organization based in the Lawra Municipality of the Upper West Region.
Hon Bomba-Ire Martin Domotiere in a short speech at separate functions organized to grace the occasion in the beneficiary communities, advised members of the various communities to work hard with the grinding mills and the tricycle and also cultivate a proper maintenance culture. These donations will help improve your lives economically in the Lawra Municipality and must be put to good use he added.
The Hon MCE made these donations on behalf of a Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) which is into developing the capacity of Farmer-Based Cooperatives (FBCs) or Farmer-Based Organizations (FBOs) in Northern Ghana.
Eremon-Tangzu and Tuori-Baapare are the two beneficiary communities which received one grinding mill each and Amburi received a tricycle.
The beneficiary communities were however grateful to the Hon MCE, the Lawra Municipality and the Korea International Cooperative Agency (KOICA) for the support and pledged to put it to good use.
The MCE, was accompanied by staff of the Lawra Municipal Assembly, the Director of MoFA – Lawra, the Officer In-Charge of the Department of Cooperatives – Stephen Suglo and the Lawra Municipal NABCO Coordinator – Abdul Salam Abdul-Karim.
