On the 18th January, 2023, the Member of Parliament for Lawra Constituency, Lawyer Bede A. Ziedeng begun drilling two mechanized boreholes in his constituency, one at Eremon Secondary/Technical school and the other one in Zambo Nawoyelle.
This was achieved after he called on a Non Governmental Organization called Qatar Charity.
In the case of Eremon Sec/Tech, the Headmaster of the school, Mr. I.I Shaibu earlier in 2022 appealed to the Member of Parliament for a borehole to relieve the school of water scarcity on campus. Both the staff of Eremon Sec/Tech and the students were very much appreciative to the Support they received from the Charity Organization and the Member of Parliament.
Residents of Zambo-Nawoyelle Expressed their joy and profound gratitude to the MP for providing them with potable water.
In 2022, Lawyer Bede A. Ziedeng lobbied for and had six boreholes from an NGO called Direct Aid ,Ghana and the following are the beneficiary communities: Zambo Hayion, Zambo-Tangpuori JHS, Dowine Tansil, Eremon Soriguon, Yagtuuri Vapuo, and Eremon Danko. So far the MP has drilled eight fresh boreholes in the Lawra constituency. The MP indicated that he is still in talks with other NGOs for more boreholes to be drilled in the constituency.
Aside the drilling of these eight fresh boreholes, the mp has also repaired over 45 broken down boreholes in his constituency.
