Outgone Upper West Regional Elections/Research Officer for the New Patriotic Party, Mr. Philip Braimah has welcomed the suggestion for districts to focus on Markets rather than putting all attention on schools.

Philip Braimah(L) and Nadowli-Kaleo DCE , Kate Lankono(R)

According to him, not all people within the Nadowli-Kaleo District can attend schools and even at that, schools don’t bring instant money to boost revenue mobilization and by this he urged the District Chief Executive, Kate Lankono to use this as an opportunity to build markets in order to engage the people within the district as some are business minded and have no Interest in formal education.

I think it’s good to have a number of big markets in the district as a whole to enhance revenue mobilization in order to hasten development in that area of the Region.

Source of revenue mobilization is a core ingredient in development process be it physical or economic.
Mr. Philip Braimah also added that toll booths were also a good source of revenue mobilization.

We should also even think of locating at least one toll booth to the Nadowli District to facilitate revenue mobilization as well.
Education is however a key to every nation’s development and the rich skills, talents, knowledge and expertise of our human resource base of the people needs to be taped through education in order to support this development process of our society and the nation at large.
So in as much as we need markets and other sources of resource mobilization for our development agenda, we equally need the rich human resource to man this needed and available resources. And so the two variables are interdependent
