Reliable information from Nadowli-Kaleo District shows confirmation of Miss Katherine Lankono could delay further in the absence of a presiding member.

Most Members of the assembly have decided they want someone from the opposition National Democratic Congress to be elected as presiding member. After Mr. Donneyong was voted out of the seat for being too old in age, all efforts to elect a presiding member has proven futile due to the interference of some influential hands

Out of 36 Assembly members in the District, 24 are NDC and 12 NPP.

The assembly says without a presiding member confirmation of District Chief Executive which is presently Katherine Lankono won’t take place.
