Nadowli-Kaleo MP Urges Tertiary Students in his District to go for Student Loans

Mr. Anthony Sumah, MP for Nadowli-Kaleo Constituency

The member of Parliament for Nadowli-Kaleo District, Hon. Anthony Sumah has urged Tertiary Students to go for Student Loan when the need arises along the Educational ladder.

He gave a reason that his Ghc100,000 Education fund can not finance students throughout their entire stay in the University or college insisting that the first year of enrollment is usually the problem.

He disclosed the development on 26th of August 2022 in an Interview with Mr
Baba Jamal at Sungmaaale FM.

“Some constituents have Challenges paying fees to pursue Tertiary Education, we know shs is free but after that how will the person be able to pursue Tertiary Education, that is where you get to pay more fees, that was why I had to set up Ghc100,000 Education fund to support the students, we have exhausted the money and we are going beyond, the demands are still coming, newly admitted students are the problem, when you get inn and cross over to second year, you can go for student loan to help yourself, some are also entitled to allowance, the can save that and use it”.
