A Nadowli-Kaleo Constituency Secretary of the New Patriotic Party, Mr. Kambotuu Xavier was selected in Common Consent as NPP Parliamentary Candidate for Nadowli-Kaleo Constituency on the 17th of September 2023 at the Nadowli Party Office of the NPP.
His Selection According to a Former Constituency Chairman, Mr. Martin Andonye was the best decision the party took in order to capture the seat from the National Democratic Congress’s Anthony Sumah.
Mr. Martin Andonye indicated that in 2012 Mr. Boye Bandi, a former Parliamentary Candidate who was succeeded by Elvis Botaa, was selected without any internal Elections conducted, he explained that choosing a candidate without Election, helps to unite the party devoid of grudges amongst party members.
He assured that Kambotuu Xavier’s Candidature is one that will lead to victory in 2024.
“… I wanted to Contest for the Parliamentary Candidature, I had that ambition together with some close relatives of mine but we decided to step down for Kombatuu as our Constituency Secretary, he is a respected person in the party..”
