Residents of Chari-Sombo, a farming community in the Nadowli- Kaleo district of the Upper West Region are calling on the Nadowli-Kaleo District Assembly and the Government to rehabilitate their roads.
According to residents , the poor road network in the community makes it impossible for residents to access essential health care and other services in adjoining communities, especially at the district capital Nadolwi, which is a few kilometers from the Chari-Sombo community.
The Assembly Member of Kuuri Electoral Area in the Nadowli-Kaleo District, Mr Dabonaah Thomas speaking to Info Radio about the poor state of roads in his electoral area , decried the poor state of the roads leading to Chari-sombo and to other adjoining communities within his electoral area.
Mr. Dabonaah explained that during the raining season the residents in Chari-sombo and other Communities are cut off from nearby communities and cannot access essential services, a situation he described as worrying.
Mr. Dabonaah further added that the bad nature of Chari-sombo Community road is hampering the education of their children as well as access to quality and timely health service delivery by the community members.
