St. Francis Xavier Junior Seminary crashed Bekwai Wesley SHS and Tweneboa Kodua SHS in a trilling contest to progress to the one eighth stage of the 2022 NSMQ.
At the end of the contest Xavier and Bekwai Wesley scored 40 points at peace and needed a tie breaker. Mr. Morrison of Xavier grabbed the tie breaker within a split second to give Xavier a win.
In other news, Nandom SHS earlier today defeated St. Paul’s SHS, Denu and Afia Kobi Ampem Girls SHS to book a spot in the one eighth stage of the competition. Nandom SHS scored a total of 41 points from the five rounds of the competition.
They won the Goil Riddle Bonanza after answering three out of the four riddles.
The two academic giants have paved the way for the schools from the Upper West Region.
Other upper West regional representatives including Kanton SHS are yet to sit for their prelims.
