A man  identified as Nasideen Shaibu Mwinnibamkuro, Deputy Communications Officer OfNDC, Nadowli-Kaleo Constituency has lost his life this afternoon, 3rd August 2023 as a result of an electric shock when he and his team were inserting a pole into the soil. The incident occurred along the Tumu-Leo Road, few meters to Kupulima. The man is a staff of a company responsible for fixing electricity poles and extension of a network in the municipality.

According to an eyewitness at the scene, the men were on the verge of properly positioning the pole, but unfortunately, there was a touch with the live wire of the high-tension pole. Moreso, the pole was wet, which resulted in a spark of fire striking the man down.

Conventionally, the workers of VRA were immediately called to witness the incident; power was disconnected along the stretch, the Ghana Fire Service and the police also visited the scene to have a look at the body.

The body was conveyed to the Tumu Municipal Hospital, and the doctor at the hospital, who inspected and conducted an investigation on the body, reported that he had passed on. The body has since been transported to the Wa mortuary.
