The Wa Municipal Chief Executive accompanied by Some Stakeholders Including the Municipal Crime Officer, ASP Adongo Apiya was in Kpongu to sympathize with Residents of the Area.
In an open meeting held, the Municipal Chief Executive, Mr. Issahaku Tahiru Moomin expressed shock with the developments, he appealed to the chiefs and elders to assist the Police in clamping down on miscreants Responsible for series of abductions in the Wa Municipality.
“I wish to call for calm, I was shocked with the Revelations, we are taking steps to clamp Down on the miscreants, when I was informed of the Development, I couldn’t stand it, if not for the position I occupy, I would have reacted more than what the you are doing, but I will plead with them to be calm as we work to restore peace and stability in the town”.
Some Residents have reportedly been Assaulted by the Police with one being arrested.
Meanwhile the Wa District Commander Superintendent Franklin Kramoh is yet to release a statement or visit crime scenes in the town.
Two Security Men have been kidnapped in September alone and one physically assaulted at an Ophanage home in Kpaguri.
