
The Upper West Region has assumed the 12th Position out of all 16 Regions with Number of HIV Infections for the Year 2022.
According to Ghana’s HIV Facts Sheet, 24,712 Children below the age of 15 years are infected with the virus within the country.
The Record added that 330,215 Citizens within the Ages of 15 years and above are infected.
Greater Accra Region was in top of the list with 85,403 infections followed by Ashanti Region with 72,429. Eastern Region was third with 46,339. Central Region Recorded 24,046, Western Region with 23,904, Bono Region with 19,281, Volta Region with 16,996, Bono East 14,617, Western North 11,880, Northern with 7,405, Upper East Region with 7,361, Upper West Region recorded 7,185, Ahafo Region recorded 6,509, Oti Region with 6,149, Savannah Region Recorded 3,680 whilst North East Recorded 1,743.
