All Districts and Municipalities  in Upper West Region will be getting AstroTurfs to facilitate the growth of sports in the Upper West Region and Ghana at large.

Works have begun on Two currently, one at Tumu and Another in Nadowli-Kaleo, specifically at McCoy college of Education.

Ghana is building 275 AstroTurfs in each of the constituencies in the country to unearth talents. There are other projects ongoing in the Ashanti Region including one at Suame Constituency in the Ashanti Region.

The AstroTurf projects are sponsored by Ghana Gas Company.

Artificial grass is a surface of synthetic grass blades made to look like natural grass. Artificial Grass has a few variations in its name and is sometimes referred to as fake grass, plastic grass, astroturf, astro, and turf. For the most part, these names all are describing the same product, Artificial Grass.
