
Ayalolo Buses are Commercial buses introduced in 2016 by former president Mahama to ease transport challenges in major cities in the country.
In January 2023, the UDS SRC for Nyankpala Campus had Issues with transporting students to and fro campus, the decision to lobby for Ayalolo buses was arrived at after some students wrote to the SRC explaining how expensive the cost Transportation was becoming within Nyankpala.

On Monday 13th February 2023, the Upper West Regional Minister, Dr. Hafiz Bin Salih Drew the Attention of People to the inception of Ayalolo Buses in the Wa Municipality. However, he did not reveal the reason why the buses were brought into the Region.
Checks by Upperwestmedia Team Revealed that the Students Representative Council (SRC) of SDD-UBIDS lobyed to get Ayalolo buses into the Region in order to address challenges pertaining to Transportation to a from the Bamahu Campus.
The Introduction of Ayalolo Buses will mean that patronage of ‘Camboo’ or Tricycles will be affected.
The Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Aayalolo officially started operations in Accra December 1, 2016 after test runs and free rides two months ago. The free rides and test run were to enable passengers and drivers to learn how the bus operates as well as how the system works.
