The Dr Hilla Limann Technical University has been given further Accreditation to run more Bachelor of Technology Programs in Various Faculties within the Institution.
The Institution was granted Accreditation in the past to run Degree/Btech programs in Hospitality Management, Agric Engineering, Building Technology, Procurement and Supply Chain Management and Mechanical Engineering. Accreditation for all other BTech Programs will expire in 2025 except Industrial Art and Building Technology till 2026. Without Accreditation a Program cannot be pursued and if pursued, the certificate is invalid in the job market.
However, Accreditation hasn’t been given yet for Btech in Information Technology yet.
The Newly Accredited Program, BTech in Industrial Art will run till 31st May 2026 According to GTEC.
It’s components include, Ceramics, Graphic Design, Jewellery and Metal Design, Leather Design and Textiles meanwhile it’s HND has been in existence for over a decade.
Dr. Hilla Limann Technical University was converted to Technical University from polytechnic. It was established under Parliament act 2020, Act 1016.
Several Stakeholders have commended the School’s first vice Chancellor, Prof Elias K. Sowley over the spate at which the institution is developing.
Ghana Tertiary Education Commission regulates tertiary education, to promote efficient and effective administration, accreditation and quality of service delivery in tertiary institutions in Ghana, including the National Colleges of Education.
