Haojue Bikes

Prices of Haojue bikes imported from Benin Republic have seen a significant proce hike since October 2022, a Development that has reduced purchase of the bikes significantly.

Price of a Haojue 110-3 has been pegged at Ghc14,300 in Tamale whilst Haojue 110-5 is going for Ghc14,100. Meanwhile in Wa, the Haojue 110-3 Goes for Ghc15,500 whilst Haojue 110-5 goes for Ghc15,200.

Some Sales Agents said the Warehouse of Haojue is in Tamale and as a results the prices cannot be the same in both upper West Regional capital Wa and Tamale in the Northern Region. They also narrated that import duty on motorbikes have been increased significantly and as a result has affected prices of motorbikes, they also expressed optimism that due to the stability in the dollar, prices are likely to reduce a bit but said the reduction in value of the dollar was not huge enough to warrant a huge reduction in prices of the motorbikes.

Meanwhile, at Tinga in the Savannah Region, a source revealed that an Apsonic 125 Aloba motorbike goes for Ghc9,400 and goes for an amount slightly above Ghc10,000 in Wa.

A development that has created concern among consumers and customers, some stakeholders are of the view that stiff patronage within Wa Township and high demand has resulted in the development they have urged customers to instead, focus on buying such machines outside the region rather than resorting to buying from just within the Upper West Region.

Patronage of slightly used Haojue bikes is on the rise with some slightly used Haojue bikes going for Ghc12,000, Ghc10,000.
