Aspirant for the Position of Upper West Regional NPP Chairman, Alhaji Toyiba Mahama has outlined his vision for the party and measures he is set to put in place to transform the NPP and make it more attractive in the Upper West Region.

In an Interview with Prince Abayema on Tungsung Radio Today, 25th May 2022, Alhaji Toyiba Tagged his opponent as incompetent referring to his leadership style as the reason the party lost two parliamentary seats to the National Democratic Congress(NDC) after the 2020 elections.

“We handed over five seats to the current set of executives but they lost two seats, a very very abysmal performance, I’ll restore the number of seats we lost and add more if I’m voted as chairman”.

The Aspirant, Alhaji Toyiba added that there is a rapid growth of Tribalism in the Party fuelled by his opponent, he assured that he is coming inn to change that Narrative should he be given the nod as Chairman.

Alhaji Toyiba also detailed that the Youth and grassroot of the party Have been neglected and as a result he will ensure the youth are employed and prioritized in party activities.

“I have my eyes on the youth, they should be rest assured that when I come I’ll assist them and direct them to the right path, some sit from morning till evening without anything to rely on, that alone can increase negative thought in their minds, we’ll get them busy jobs..”

Alhaji Toyiba Mahama Blamed the Current Executives and Regional Minister for the Current Instability in the Party Assuring that once he is elected he will ensure there is unity in the party.
