
BECE is over and students have begun Processes to select Thier preferred schools, lots of parents are eager for their wards to pursue Technical Education due to the self employment opportunities there for their wards.
Directives for selecting schools for your ward is as follows:
Select one School in Category A,
2 Schools in Category B,
5 Schools in Category C(if you prefer only category C Schools plus one from another category to make it six) and One School in Category D.
You can opt for Six Technical Vocational Education Training Schools(TVET) as well in place of Senior High Schools.
One Day School should be chosen, it’s mandatory as part of GES Directive.
Some Day Schools in Upper West Region Include, Loggu Community Day SHS, Sombo SHS, Lambussie Community Day SHS, Northern Star SHS, Dorimon SHS etc.
Six schools must be selected with Programs from category A,B,C Or special boarding from Appendix 3.
Private Candidates can Select their Schools though the avenue below:

There shall be 30% equity in category A schools for public JHS Candidates. Meaning there won’t be much competition with private schools for category A slots.
Candidates who are not placed can use the self placement Portal to choose schools available through: http://www.css.gov.gh
