Popular Figures who grew up in Upper West Region

Several People have established themselves at the National Level, Making the Upper West Region Proud based on the Achievements they are making in the Country and Beyond.

These are names of some Popular Individuals who grew in Wa but currently based in the Capital of Ghana and Other Areas outside Upper West Region.

Firstly, Maxwell Konadu. He was Coach of Black Starlets and Led them to win the WAFU Tournament in 2019.
He was also an Assistant to Former Black Stars Coach James Kwesi Appiah. Maxwell Konadu grew up in Wa and speaks Waali fluently.

Secondly, Kwesi Nyantakyi, His Mother is from Kabanye and he grew up in Wa, he attended Wa Senior High School and was the GFA President since 2006. Kwesi Nyantakyi is a Muslim.

Thirdly, Kennedy Agyapong, He grew Up in Parts of Upper West Region Including Lawra where his father was a Teacher. According To Kennedy Agyapong who is the Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Upper West Region is his second Home, he recently Donated 10 Sewing Machines to Wa Technical Institute and sorted out electricity bills of Upper West Regional Library Worth Ghc70,000.

Fourthly, Justice Yoni Kulendi, Some People may not know Justice Kulendi is from the Upper West Region, he has risen through through the ranks to get to where he is. He is a past Student of Wa SHS. Justice Kulendi is from the Dafiama-Busie-Issa District.

Fifthly, Moesha Baduong: Popular and Controversial celebrity based in Accra is from Sissala East Municipality. She persued Theater Arts at the University of Ghana, Legon. She was Popular lately for stating that Girls in Ghana Date Married Men to Survive.

Sixthly, Black Rasta: Black Rasta was with Zylophone FM in Accra but resigned due to personal reasons. He is from the Upper West Region though he spent most of his life in Greater Accra.

The Barack Obama hit maker was popular for stating that some parliamentarians smoke marijuana.
