President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo has directed the Zongo Development Fund to take up the responsibility of constructing a fence wall around the Wa Jamiat Islamic Girls Senior High School in the Wa Municipality.

He says education is key in his programming accentuating that he will always prioritize issues of education at all times.

“Wa Naa you know how important is education in my programme, I will do anything possible to make sure this requests are made as I have done in the past and as far as the fence wall of the Islamic girls school, the Zongo Development Fund has been given instructions to deal with that matter so I expect that it will be done soon”.

The President made this statement after Wa Naa Fuseini Seidu Pelpou IV remindered him again of the promise he has made but yet to fulfill.

President Akufo-Addo paid a courtesy call on the Wa Naa as part of his two days working visit to the Upper West Region.

Meanwhile, the Overlord of the Waala Traditional Kingdom Wa Naa Fuseini Seidu Pelpou IV has reminded the president of some unfulfilled promises the president made to the palace during his previous visits to the region.

He reminded the President of the appeal made to him to provide the palace Basic School with some classrooms.

The Overlord aside reminding the president of the appeal made to him to provide the Dr. Hilla Liman Technical University hustel facility during his previous visit to the region, he also made an appeal to the president to provide the Wa Islamic SHS a means of transportation and also called on the President to expand or provide the Wa Senior High School an Assembly Hall stressing that, the old aged hall constructed for the school to cater for about 200 students cannot contain the over 2000 student population now.
