Before the President, H.E Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo visited the Upper West Region on the 21st of August 2022, Upper West Regional Party Executives of the New Patriotic Party(NPP) had issued a Statement directing all party executives to stay away from activities involving the President’s Tour.

The Executives unanimously decided afterwards, to put on hold decision to Boycott President’s Tour in a letter read by the Party’s Regional Secretary Dr. Tanko Daniel Dauda.

Regional Communications Director of the Party, Mr. Ahmed Sadat has Disclosed individuals who Intervened when the Regional Executives decided to Boycott the President’s Tour.

In an interview with Tinus Touzie on WaGyaa Yela Program held on Friday 26th of August 2022, Mr. Sadat Admitted that some National Executives and Ministers intervened during their decision to Boycott the President’s Tour.

Interviewer: Did it take the intervention of National Executives, Minsters, Appointees to address the problem?

Interviewee: “yes! definitely!, they were certainly part but much of it was internal, when the issue happened the Minister gave explanations..”.
