Some Residents of Upper West Region have been trained on how to Record public officers including officers in Uniform when they take bribes or Attempt taking them.
This is a Development Organized by a group called Strategic Citizens as a measure to reduce corruption amongst public sector employees seeking for favors before they can effectively carryout their responsibilities.
The program which was a 3 hours program made provision for secret cameras and other resources to be issued out to several Residents of the region, these Residents are individuals who have daily encounters with public sector workers, they are to secretly record illicit transactions and forward them to the media for publication and investigations.
The aim of the project is to reduce corruption and ensure public sector workers follow due process In carrying out their mandate as first grade staff of the country.
The project will continue in the Society till the level of supposed illicit activities are brought down completely.
