Some Weeks after Rashid Ahmed Also Known as Anaata was apprehended for Defiling over 30 girls, another issue of Defilement was recorded between Sendemuni and Sawaba, a suburb of Wa Municipality.
In the Development, a Young Man was apprehended for Attempting to defile a 4-year old KG 1 infant on 16th of September 2023.
According to the victim’s mother, her daughter returned from school but could not be found, she later traced and found her in an Uncompleted Building with a man robbing some oil on her private part in an attempt to penetrate. The Suspect has been arrested.
The third Issue of Defilement occured at Bunaa in the Wa East District, in the development, the suspect Iddrisu Elijah Nafiw who is a small scale mining Machine Operator has been arrested for having Carnal knowledge of a 15-year old girl. Ghana’s constitution in section 101(1), Act 29 clearly defines defilement as having sexual intercourse with a girl below 16 years with or without her consent.
Meanwhile, Final Judgement on Rashid Anaata’s Case will be on 17th October 2023.
