There has been several reports that suspected Terrorists in the posture of Jihadists have attempted coming in the Country through the Upper West Region.

The number of Jihadists is alleged to be 80 on 40 Motorbikes.

The Suspects attempted coming inn through the Hamile Route and there has been several calls for the Ghana Immigration Service to check on the developments and address them.

80 Jihadists on 40 motorbikes 5 km from Hamile on 5/12/22

14.45 hr. 5th December, 2022

We had a call from a reliable source based at Hamile that “in the morning of 5th December, 2022, some 80 Jihadists riding 40 motorcycles run through a village called Kulunka which is 5 km from Hamile.”

He said the Hamile locals expect the Security Agents to be on extra high alert as “no one knows where the Jihadists are heading to. The Jihadists destroyed telephone poles and communication links in the Kulunka village, so that the Burkinabe locals can not make calls for help.”
