Upper West Regional Police PRO, Chief Inspector Gideon Ohene Boateng

The Upper West Regional Police PRO, Chief Inspector Gideon Ohene Boateng has indicated that, a message in circulation suggesting Terrorists had besieged Bole to kidnap children can not be confirmed as being shared in platforms.

He noted that there is no official Communiqué from the Wa West District Police Command to that Effect adding that if there is any issue of such sort, the police would issued a statement officially and not through unapproved WhatsApp texts.

“The message being circulated isn’t from us, I have called the crime officer on it but we have not gotten such an information, even the Area stated is in Savannah Region though close to us, we shall monitor closely.”

People within the region are on High alert Including the Ghana Immigration Service, Several foreigners have been arrested and interrogated in the process after a suspected Terrorist was spotted at Senyere be in the Savannah Region.
