As Part of his ‘I Will Change The Face Of Wa Development promise, the Former Municipal Chief Executive of Wa, Hon. Isaahaku Nuhu Patiaha on 10th of January 2014, 9 Years Ago assured people in Wa of his zeal to fight crime as then Head of Municipal Security Council (MUSEC).

He also took the initiative to partner with the Ghana Immigration Service through which some 7 Strumpets were deported from the Country back to their Home Country, Nigeria.

In 2022, the Ghana Immigration Service deported some Nigerians back to their home country after three Assembly Men Including Assembly Man for Kambali, Kpaguri and Mangu kicked against their continues stay in the Municipality, according to the Assembly Men, their stay was promoting Social immorality and also causing financial loss to the state because Monies from the State were being cashed out of the country without those involved paying taxes.

Background

He told The Chronicle in an interview that the main traffic light in the town has been replaced with an ultra-modern one to reduce accidents and in a bid to address the usual congestion and confusion commuters are grappled with at the Central Business District (CBD) of the town.

Patiaha stated that the municipality was peaceful and said apart from minor thieving and burglaries; the incidence of armed robbery, land and chieftaincy disputes had declined significantly.

The Municipal Chief Executive said that seven Nigerians, who were suspected to have been engaged in prostitution in some hotels in the town, were rounded up by the Ghana Immigration Service for repatriation to Nigeria.
