Dr. Sebastian Sandaare, Member of Parliament for Daffiama-Bussie-Issa

The Member of Parliament for Daffiama-Bussie-Issa constituency, Dr. Sabastian Sandaare has described the ruling NPP as people who have no respect for the rule of law.

This he said whiles interacting with Baba Jamal on the Sungmaale FM Nosuorisong program Thursday morning 18th August.

This was in reaction to the impasse in parliament over the absence of the former Gender minister and member of parliament for the Dome Kwabenya constituency, Hon. Sarah Adwoa Safo, in parliament for a long while.

The MP stated that the issue didn’t have to be hastened just because the government isn’t finding it easy in parliament over her absence. This was after the host asked why the minority appears to be interested in defending her absence.

He said the issue needed to be properly dealt with and not be treated anyhow just because the sitting government wants to bend the rules of law to out her from parliament to declare her seat vacant in parliament.

‘We won’t have to bend the law to out her from parliament like the government always does. They don’t respect the law. Be it human rights, corruption, etc’ he said.

‘We won’t let this slide because it’s an NPP member of parliament. Due diligence must be followed and the proper thing is done. Today its NPP tomorrow, it could be one of us(NDC) and they would bend the rule as usual’ he added.
