
According to an Audit Report Compiled by the Auditor General for the 2022 Financial Year, it was Uncovered that three Staff of Nusrat Jahan Ahmadiyya College of Education have caused financial loss to the State by Failing to Refund an Amount of GH¢7,050.00.
This Was Captured in the Report Of The Auditor-general On The Public Accounts Of Ghana: Colleges Of Education And Pre-university Educational institutions for The Financial Year Ended 31 December 2022.
It indicated that Some Staff Numbering three Were given a Salary Advance of Ghc13,000 but only Managed to Pay GH5,950 with an Outstanding Balance of GH¢7,050.00. This according to the Report has caused financial loss to the State.

Regulation 32 of the Public Financial Management Regulations, 2019 states, for the purpose of paragraph (c) of Subsection of Section 7 of the Act, the Principal Spending Officer of each covered entity shall take effective and appropriate steps to collect money due to the covered entity.
Three staff of Nusrat Jahan Ahmadiyya College of Education were granted salary advances totalling GH¢13,000.00 to be recovered within one year. We however noted that an amount of GH5,950.00 had been recovered leaving a balance of GH¢7,050.00 outstanding. These Staff Include Mr. Abdulai Yussif Gaaba, a Tutor who took Ghc4,000 and Refunded Ghc600, Mr. Mohammed Salifu, a driver Took Ghc4,000 and Refunded Ghc500, Mr. Kojo Kyeremateng an Assistant Librarian took Ghc5,000 and Refunded Ghc4,850.
The Auditor has Recommended that the Monies be Recovered from the Beneficiaries and Paid into The Audit Recovery Account of Government.
“We recommended to management to recover the outstanding amount of
GH¢7,050.00 from the affected staff and same paid into the college’s designated account.”
