
There may be shortage of drinks this year due to Economic factors, some of these drinks we are to outline will surely be missed if only they were your favorite.
Firstly, Castle Milk Stout.
One of Africa’s famous stout, a remnant from the original South African Breweries (established 1895 in Johannesburg) which later became part of SAB Miller. Distributors of it was Accra Breweries LTD since 2009. Castle Milk became scarce in 2018 and we won’t be seeing it anytime soon.
Secondly, Mirinda. Mirinda became Popular in the north of Ghana from 2001, however there were several allegations surrounding it in parts of Ghana. In November 2020, A Ghanaian lady found a blade stuck inside a Mirinda bottle after she finished drinking it. The drink was bought from the Kwabenya Atomic New Market in Accra.
Thirdly, Palm Wine Bottled Drink.
Nkulenu’s Palm Drink also known as palm wine is a delicious alcoholic beverage created from the sap of various species of palm trees. Several suppliers suggested the drink can’t be kept for long and as a result, ferments.
Fourthly, Don Simon Sangria:
Don Simon is an alcoholic fruit drink mostly consumed in South of Spain, sangria is bursting with fresh fruit flavors that make it the perfect everyday beverage and an excellent choice for cookouts,it was Popular till some french drinks took over.
furthermore, Castle Lager Beer
Castle Lager is a South African pale lager. It is the flagship product of South African Breweries and has been recognised as the National Beer of South Africa. It was in supply alongside castle milk stout.
Lastly, Dollar Gin: Dollar Gin was Widely Spoken of and preferred Dry gin in Upper West Region and Beyond, the drink united several people but didn’t exist for long, we won’t be seeing it anytime soonest.
Hopefully the Wa Fruit Juice Company shall bounce back for us to patronize our own products, for now, the Puhikuong, Konsaanihi and Pito are still Available.
