
Some Cattle dealers in the Upper West Region have expressed concern with the rate at which the market is slow with regards to patronage of their animals.
Speaking to Simon Bazaara of Info Radio on 27th of June 2023, the Business Men Blamed the Economy partly for the low Patronage of Their animals sighting other factors including the exchange rate of the CFA Franc to the Ghana Cedi.
“.. Our Prices are moderate but the fact is that the economy isn’t favorable and as a result people can hardly afford our animals, we will keep praying for things to be better since today isn’t Eid-ul-Adha, we may get some good news..”.
Prices of Some Cattle have been pegged at Ghc4,000, Ghc6,000 and at most Ghc15,000 in some areas, prices tagged as exorbitant and outrageous by some Muslims.
The Upper West Regional Chief Imam, Alhaji Osman Mahama Kanihi has declared 28th June 2023 as officially recognized day for the celebration of Eid-ul-Adha.
