The Danko Road has been one of the Oldest feeder Road in the Wa Municipality waiting to be tarred and covered with coal and chippings.
Despite several appeals and calls, the road has since not been fixed resulting in series of road accidents and attacks.
The road has no streetlights making it completely dark at night. It’s a momentous road Leading to parts of the Wa East District and some notable schools including the Loggu Community Day SHS.
Speaking to the Media, the Wa Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Issahaku Tahiru Moomin has indicated that the Road would have been completed but the contact and other clauses that requires is completion has little to do with the W Municipal Assembly and Regional Coordinating Council headed by Dr. Hafiz Bin Salih.
He added that the Road is Under the Department of feeder roads and that they are in the right position to explain why the road hasn’t been fixed. He added that sometimes roads may be Awarded straight from the Road Ministry with specific timelines and conditions of contract execution, a development that may result in delay in completion of the contract.
He added that certain clauses of the constitution maybe shielding the contractor of the Danko Road Project resulting in actions not being taken against him for delay in completing the project.
He added that, to take the contract from it’s current executor, a judgement debt could be incurred, more than the amount invested in the road project.
