Some supporters of the National Democratic Congress(NDC), were involved in a “free for all fight ” on Tuesday, June 7th 2022 over some missing old names in the register of the party ahead of its internal reorganisation.

The clash occurred at Kulkpong a farming community in the Wa East District of the Upper West Region

Some party members were at each other’s throats over the names of some old party members and polling station executives being missing from the old register, leading to a serious exchange of blows.

Popular serial caller of the National Democratic Congress Abudi Mumuni (Sunuma Kulpkong), has been arrested by the Ghana Police Service over the incident.

He was picked up on Wednesday, June 8 2022 at around 4 p.m. in Wa at his shop.

Sources close to Home Radio news revealed he was arrested for his involvement in the fighting incident reported to the Bulenga Police command by some other members of the NDC.

Mr Abudi is accused of physically assaulting the NDC Zonal coordinator for Kulpkong electoral area on Tuesday, 7th June 2022 at Kulpkong.

According to reports, Sugnuma had concerns and raised allegations over missing names in the register including his name.

He, therefore, demanded to be given access to confirm his name which eventually led to a fight between him and the zonal coordinator.

Sungnuma is the NDC polling station secretary, Kulpkong primary A polling station in the kulpkong zone, he is reported to have been suspended by the party constituency executives.
