The Office of the Wa East District Assembly on October 07, 2019 held a meeting to dissolve the fourth Wa East Assembly. This has become necessary as the tenure of the Assembly expired on Saturday, October 5, 2019.
The Hon. DCE’s dissolution address admonished Members to forgive one another for moments they have had to step on each other’s toes in the course of deliberations.
He concluded by wishing good luck to Hon. Members who intend to contest the next Assembly elections. The DCE’s address was read by the District Coordinating Director, Alhaji Abukari Alhassan on behalf of the Hon. DCE who is on special assignment outside the Region.
The office of the Wa East District Assembly as part of the programme presented Certificates of Honor to all Hon. Assembly Members of the Fourth Wa East Assembly
The Wa East Assembly was Established in 2004. Each Assembly Member is expected to take home Ghc1,000 as Ex-Gracia after taking a motorbike each.
The Assembly is Headed by Hon. Moses Jotie who is currently the District Chief Executive.
