Wa East: No Girl had First Degree when the District was Created – Bulenga Naa on Girl Child Education

The Paramount Chief of Bulenga Traditional Area, Naa Seidu Abdulai Nawologime IV has Advocated for Stakeholders to assist in improving accessible girl child Education in the District.

This was discussed during the third annual Chakali Youth Celebration in Bulenga held on the 7th of May 2022.

On issue, he Bemoaned the fact that When the District was created, there was no lady from the district with a first Degree to occupy some sensitive official positions in the District. He added that the Development is affecting Development in the area though several people have attributed it to culture and Tradition of the area.

He also used the avenue appreciate the fact that the men have taken up the mantle to pursue Education to great heights.

The 2021 Population Census released that there are more men in Wa Eat to Women, a ratio that has been tagged as irregular.

The Wa East District was Established in 2004 by Former President John Agyekum Kuffuor.
