The First Vice Chancellor of Dr Hilla Limann Technical University, Prof. Elias K Sowley has urged several students at an Exhibition program in the University to Embrace Technical Education in order to harness positive results in the future.
Speaking as Chairman of the Exhibition Program in the University on 9th August 2023, he explained to Some Guests including Students of St. Baslides Vocational Technical Institute that Technical Education has evolved and will serve as a resource with which unemployment can be reduced in the Country.
During the Exhibition, the Fashion Department Displayed a Rain Coat Produced with waste Materials from Sachet water Companies, left over sachets of water were used to design the ran coat with cotton used in lining the inner in order to regulate temperature when worn.
The Agric Engineering Department designed a Pumping Machine to support farmers when spraying their farms with weedicides, the machine will prevent farmers from hanging weedicides on the backs, an act that can cause health complications.
The industrial Art department designed several artifacts to cit in the hotel industries and tourist centers.
He Urged Students to take advantage of their Newly Introduced Degree Programs including Btech in Catering, Btech in Mechanical Engineering, Btech in Agric Engineering, Btech in Information and Communication Technology.
