In a limited period of 5 months, several security Men in Wa Township have either gone Missing or Died with traces of Injuries and some of their parts missing.
Several people have voiced out their concerns about the issues occuring suddenly and the perception it’s creating about the Region.
On the 1st of August to the 5th of August 2022, the Upper West Regional Police Command invited all foreigners in the Region on a dialogue. The Wa Naa, Naa Fuseini Pelpuo IV Also Invited the Regional Security Council and other Stakeholders on 8th of August 2022 to his Palace.
Firstly, on 17th of April 2022 A man suspected to be a security man of High Ranking International Academy in Wa has been found dead and buried with a sack in an uncompleted story building’s yard.
According to the family of the Security man, he went to work three for three days and afterwards did not return. They reported to the police and started searching for him, later found his bicycle and some personal belongings close to the school (High Ranking International Academy) where he works as a night security.
In a search conducted by the police, they found droplets of blood that led to the uncompleted story building’s yard at Napogbakole a suburb of Wa Municipal where he was buried.
Secondly, on the 16th of June 2022, A man was found dead and buried close to T.I Ahmadiyya JHS, block B.
His stomach was cut open, it’s suspected that, some of his internal organs may have be removed.
Ghana Police Service together with Wa Municipal Environmental health Services exhumed the body for further investigations.
Thirdly, Information Gathered revealed that a security officer taking charge of a two story on the Seidu Tendaana Street within Kpaguri Estates in the Wa municipality was reportedly killed and buried in an uncompleted building by unknown persons.
The Upper West Regional Police Commander, DCOP Peter Ndekugri on Joy News, Revealed that his heart was removed.
Fourthly, A Security Man who was stationed at Ziem Woodworks has been declared Missing by the Police, the Police has place Ghc50,000 randsom on him after they had confirmed the development to the Media through Chief Inspector Gideon Ohene Boateng, Upper West Regional PRO of Ghana Police. He was declared Missing on the 23rd of August 2022. Mr. Alhassan Yahaya Aged 60 Left home on the 23rd of August 2022 at about 4:25pm and has since not been found.
