At about 4:10pm on Sunday 2nd July 2023, some Residents of Duori in the Wa Municipality were alarmed after a gunshot was overheard behind parks and garden, a rest spot in the area.

According some mechanics in the area, the gunshot was heard once but they couldn’t fathom the individual that issued the gunshot, they also admitted not knowing the type of gun used as at that point.

The security agencies have been urged to address such Developments by using their security surveillance strategies to detect if the gun used is registered or not.

The Upper West Region has several foreign inhabitants and this as a Result of some civil unrest in parts of Burkina Faso resulting in Migration into Ghana.

Security Situations in the Upper West Region have been under control after series of Serial Killings were recorded a year ago.
